PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTING A PERMANENTLY OPERATING INNOVATIVE GREENHOUSE IN SHUGNAN DISTRICT OF GBAO
The State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” takes necessary measures to implement the agriculture development project.
On July 11, within the framework of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” the institution engineers and specialists on social and environmental issues with the participation of responsible persons from the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region Shugnan district State Authority Executive Body held public hearings with residents of the neighborhoods adjacent to the facility and employees of the construction company “Sitoish” LLC, who are involved in the construction of a modern permanently operating greenhouse. The hearings were opened by Shugnan district First Deputy Chairman, who expressed gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, especially to the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan esteemed Emomali Rahmon and the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” for comprehensive support of farmers with agricultural machinery and its attachments, high-quality seeds, as well as construction of modern agricultural facilities.
Afterwards, Rano Rahmatova, the institution specialist on social issues, spoke about the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan continuous support in the sector development, providing the population with new jobs, construction and effective operation of modern greenhouses, as well as the project implementation, considering the nuances of work and timely and quality completion of this facility. During the hearings, the institution engineer and the head of the “Sitoish” LLC construction company made informative presentations and presented their work plans to the audience for the implementation of the plan to build a permanently operating greenhouse, which will be of high quality and built according to the new modern design.
Besides, at the stage of beginning the mobilization works, the institution specialists provided detailed information on the environmental management plan considering the opinions, proposals of stakeholders and results of environmental impact assessment according to the World Bank social and environmental standards requirements, compliance with sanitary and epidemiological rules, safety, implementation of requirements and norms of the Republic of Tajikistan current legislation, mechanism of applications and proposals consideration and implementation of the plan.
At the end of the hearings, the authorities’ management gave specific instructions to the officials on timely implementation of the forthcoming plans.
