REPAIR AND RESTORATION WORKS AT THE SHIRINSHOKH SHOHTEMUR TAJIK AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY

The State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” within the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, supported by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, gradually renovated and reconstructed several scientific and educational buildings of the Republic of Tajikistan Ministry of Agriculture and the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, using a new modern design.

As part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” first component, the institution completely renovated and reconstructed the large main hall of the Zooengineering Faculty at the Sh. Shohtemur Tajik Agrarian University using a new modern design, replacing the doors, windows, roof and chandeliers, painting the walls, ceiling and roofing and preparing the building for installation of equipment and chairs.

The Sh. Shohtemur State Agrarian University main building facade, being in need of repair, was completely painted, and the windows were replaced with plastic ones. Part of the building side aisles, in need of repair, were finished with decorative stone, making it more attractive and comfortable.

The construction work was completed according to the World Bank environmental and social standards, with high-quality and by modern design; the building and main hall are ready for use.

It should be noted that the Sh. Shohtemur Tajik Agrarian University management appreciated the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan ongoing support and the high-quality repair provided by the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” and expressed gratitude for creating good working conditions for staff and students.
