MEASURES TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO WATER UNDER THE “STRENGTHENING RESILIENCE OF THE AGRICULTURE SECTOR PROJECT”

The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan constantly pays great attention to the sustainable development of the country various sectors and takes necessary measures to implement new plans for irrigation of rain-fed lands.

With the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan support, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development”, as part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, has begun drilling a well to irrigate the land of the “Sortsemovoshch” branch of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) in Sughd region.

On May 30, 2025, at the branch of the SUE “Sortsemovoshch” in the Sughd region, specialists from the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” had a public meeting on planning and implementation of well drilling work to irrigate the land belonging to the SUE “Sortsemovsch” branch with participation of people involved in the well drilling work.
