Under the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project, an international consultant on climate change and hydrometeorology, Fadi Karim, was involved to implement sub-component 3.1 Real-time monitoring of agricultural production, land use and agrometeorology.

The purpose of hiring a consultant is to analyze the system of data exchange between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Meteorological Agency in case of installation of agrometeorological stations in the establishment of the system of accounting and monitoring of agricultural products.

At the same time, a training workshop was held on 11-12 January this year with specialists and staff of the Meteorological Agency and specialists of the Center for the Development of Digitalization of Agriculture on “Drought indicators in relation to the standard precipitation index”.

At the same time, the purpose of installing agrometeorological stations and the cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture with this agency were discussed with the staff of the Meteorological Agency.
