COMPLETION OF REPAIR AND RESTORATION WORKS AT THE TAAS NATIONAL CENTER OF GENETIC RESOURCES

With the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan support, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development”, as part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, gradually renovates and refurbishes several scientific and educational buildings of the Republic of Tajikistan Ministry of Agriculture and the Tajikistan Academy of Agricultural Sciences in a modern style and commissions them.

The Tajikistan Academy of Agricultural Sciences National Center of Genetic Resources has been operating since 2006 and plays a significant role in preserving rare and high-quality local seeds, fruit trees and rare varieties.

This year, due to the need for the scientific center reconstruction, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development”, as part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, repaired and reconstructed the roof of the 445-square-meter building, leveled and painted 1.558-square-meter walls, 523-square-meter floors and 601-square-meter ceilings using high-quality modern materials.

Besides, small electrical appliances and chandeliers were completely replaced, and the building entrance was renovated in a modern style.

The engineers and workers participated in the building renovation, considered every detail to ensure its long-term operation and to implement the work with high quality and modern style.
