PLANNED COTTON HARVESTING IN KHATLON REGION IS GOING ON

The Government of the Republic of Tajikistan implements the new plans to develop various sectors of the country and constantly takes the necessary measures to achieve outstanding results.

Farmers in Khatlon region are satisfied with this year rich cotton yield and work together to harvest it. They are striving to effectively take advantage of the favorable weather and harvest their yields on time and without losses before it gets cold.

Currently, the collective cotton harvesting continues in the region, and farmers (project beneficiaries) are achieving yields of 14 to 18 centners per hectare per picking, demonstrating a rich harvest of this crop. It should be noted that, thanks to favorable weather and the farmers’ diligent work, all agricultural crops’ emergence in the region is very well, their yields are high as well.

It should be noted that the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” within the project, in order to increase agricultural yields, particularly cotton, distributed 106.2 tons of high-quality certified seeds from Turkey (Laser, Lima) and the Chinese Zhongmyang-113 variety this year to seed producers, farms and other agricultural organizations and institutions in the region (project beneficiaries) before the cotton planting season.

Farmers are satisfied with this ongoing support from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” and express their gratitude.
