CONSTRUCTION OF YEAR-ROUND MODERN GREENHOUSES IN THE COUNTRY

Today, the country has effectively functioning permanently working greenhouses, enabling the efficient use of every land plot and providing the country population with fresh vegetables year-round. However, due to the high demand for fresh vegetables all seasons, officials are striving to increase the number of modern year-round greenhouses.

For this purpose, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan takes the necessary measures to increase the area of ​​modern year-round greenhouses in all towns and districts of the country and implements them step by step according to the plan.

This year, with the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan support, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” is building two modern year-round greenhouses: one in GBAO Shugnan district and another one in Khatlon region Dangara district, as part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”.

Construction work is currently underway in both greenhouses, and engineers are striving to build and commission the facilities according to the international standards within the set timeframe by the new modern design.

The area for growing vegetables in the modern greenhouses is planned to cover 0.32 hectares of land, and the harvest will be available at markets year-round.
