OUTCOMES OF THE WORKING GROUP VISIT TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE AGROLOGISTIC CENTERS’ ACTIVITIES IN FRANCE AND ITALY
During the working trip aimed at familiarizing themselves with Italy’s experience in creating and operating agrologistic centers, the group, as planned, visited the large cooperative RENOVA, engaged in research, consulting and technological activities in the field of agriculture in the Emilia-Romagna region (Italy), to exchange experiences.
The specialists of this cooperative provided detailed information via a presentation regarding joint collaboration with farmers, entrepreneurs and specialists from state institutions in the agricultural sector.
The next day, the group visited the APO Fruit cooperative, which has more than 60 years of experience in the fruit and vegetable market and held a working meeting with farmers – the cooperative members.
This cooperative has 12 processing plants and 12 product reception and storage points throughout Italy, with a network of over 2,700 producer workshops that supply a total of 143,000 tons of fresh products annually.
Besides, during the trip to Italy, a high-level meeting was held with officials of the Rimini wholesale market and other representatives of local authorities.
