PUBLIC HEARINGS IN THE KUHISTONI MASTCHOH DISTRICT

As part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” has established a mechanism for reviewing suggestions and proposals at the local, regional and national levels to ensure transparency in project activities and relations with beneficiaries.

As planned, under the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, the institution specialists, together with the public organization “Umedbakhsh,” held public hearings among the Kuhistoni Mastchoh district residents.

The project beneficiaries in the region actively participated in the hearings and learned about the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” transparency and effectiveness.

The event addressed the issues including farmers’ access to high-quality certified seeds across the country towns and districts, drilling wells to irrigate unused land, renovating buildings of scientific and educational institutions, providing attachments for agricultural machinery, and other pressing challenges in the sector.

At the end of the hearings, the project beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” for their ongoing support of farmers.

Following the hearings, the commission inspected the current status of information boards and boxes for suggestions and proposals intended specifically for the project beneficiaries across the country.
