PROGRESS OF CONSTRUCTING A MODERN YEAR-ROUND GREENHOUSE IN THE SHUGNAN DISTRICT PORSHINEV VILLAGE, GORNO-BADAKHSHAN AUTONOMOUS REGION

As part of his working visit to the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the country, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, was presented a project for a modern year-round greenhouse by the head of the State Institution “Agricultural Entrepreneurship Development”. The greenhouse, spanning over one hectare, is being constructed as a demonstration site for agricultural crops and is equipped with all necessary auxiliary facilities.

The objective of this experiment is to select and adapt crops to the local climate, introduce modern methods, ensure rational land use, and provide as many people as possible with domestically produced food year-round; in general, taking measures to ensure food security.

The designated area for vegetable cultivation in the modern greenhouse is 0.32 hectares, the harvest will be supplied to regional markets throughout the year.

In line with the Leader of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon directives, the Institution specialists and engineers, under the ” Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, continue work on land leveling, perimeter fencing, greenhouse foundation reinforcement and other construction activities with great enthusiasm.

The specialists are working diligently to build and commission the facility on time, by schedule, ensuring high-quality construction and a modern design.
