RENOVATION AND RECONSTRUCTION AT THE TAJIK AGRARIAN UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER SH. SHOTEMUR

The Tajik Agrarian University named after Sh. Shotemur has been successfully training highly qualified personnel for the country agricultural sector since Soviet times to the present day.

This year, with the support of the Republic of Tajikistan Government and the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development,” within the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, a major renovation of the spacious auditorium and lobby of the university zoological engineering faculty building has begun.

The contracting “Sokhtmoni Vasl” LLC, considering the intricacies of repair and reconstruction work, replaced the doors and windows, repaired the building roof using high-quality and modern technology, replaced the electrical wiring and lighting fixtures, and fully renovated and painted the walls.

Prior to repair work, engineers and social/environmental specialists of the SI “SRASP” briefed the hired workers on the environmental management plan, environmental impact assessment results, safety and sanitation compliance, occupational safety rules, the Republic of Tajikistan and the World Bank relevant regulations, the complaint mechanism and other applicable laws.
