PROGRESS OF TESTING THE GRAIN CROPS IN THE SUGHD REGION
Every year, agriculture specialists implement testing to determine the biological yield of agricultural crops.
Specialists from the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” within the framework of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” together with specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food Security Committee began testing the grain crops in the Sughd region.
During testing, the team determines the expected biological yield and takes measures to implement the long-term plan.
Specialists started the testing work in the fields of the Sohibjon farm of J. Rasulov district and the Ravshanbek farm of Shahriston district.
It should be noted that this year, as part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, farm managers received high-quality certified seeds of the “elite” category from the institution, varieties Timiryazevka 150 and Alekseich distinguished by high yield and adapted to local climatic conditions.
During testing, it was determined that farmers (project beneficiaries) implemented agricultural work in a timely and high-quality manner, which will enable a high wheat yield of 60-65 c/ha in future
