The World Bank mission got acquainted with the progress of repair and construction work in the soil and plant laboratories of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the AAST

According to the plan, from 28.04.2025 to 08.05.2025 in order to support the project implementation process, the World Bank mission for the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector” project will hold meetings with ministries and departments, executive bodies of state power, beneficiaries and officials responsible for the project implementation.

Accordingly, on April 28 this year, the World Bank mission led by the respected Hazem Ibrohim Hambal and the director of the State Institution for the Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development, respected Daler Satori Abdumansur, met with the president of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan (AAST), respected Salimzoda Amonullo Faizullo and the Director of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences Zebiniso Bobohoniyon, familiarized themselves with the progress of work on the reconstruction of 11 soil and plant laboratories of the scientific institution, the museum and the assembly hall and highly appreciated the contractors’ work.

During the meeting, the President of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, respected Salimzoda Amonullo Faizullo, stated that repair and restoration work of scientific institutions of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences is being done through the support of some scientific institutions with laboratory equipment, computers, printers and other modern technology from the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the World Bank and the State Institution for Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development – this is a very good and timely initiative that will improve the efficiency of scientists and specialists in this field, and introduce scientific achievements into practice.

The director of the institution further stated that after completion of the high-quality repair of 11 soil and plant laboratories of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry in the coming days, the laboratories of this scientific institution will be equipped with modern equipment and technologies within the framework of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector” project.
