Support to the seed farms within the project “Strengthening resilience of the Agriculture sector”

Specialists of the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” familiarized themselves with the actual situation of the “Yakkatut” seed farm in the J. Rasulov district, which is the project beneficiary.

This farm has 100 hectares of arable land on its balance sheet and uses it consistently and effectively.

As part of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector” project, the institution has been supporting the seed-growing farms with mineral fertilizers, high-quality elite seeds, agricultural machinery and equipment, among other farms, since 2023.

By using high-quality seeds and following agronomic practices, this farm has gradually been able to increase the planted area, yields and along with irrigation and timely payment of wages, using the farm’s net income to build three modern houses for its employees, especially women.

The farm manager has decided to build and provide a modern warehouse to store agricultural products and seeds after this year’s harvest.

The employees are pleased with the continued support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and are determined to contribute to increasing the supply of high-quality seeds to the country and the development of the seed industry.
