Monitoring of field work in Khatlon region

High quality seeds guarantee a high yield of crops, and if agricultural practices are followed, its yield is doubled. Specialists of the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” in the course of monitoring of field works checked and highly appreciated the growth condition of grain crops, especially wheat, from Commercial Cooperative “Avesta” in Kabadian district, Production Cooperative “Bahor” in Kushoniyon district, Farm “Farrukh” in Dusti district and visited other farms in the region.

Farmers of the region (project beneficiaries) were able to effectively use this year’s favorable weather and complete sowing of grain crops, especially wheat, by obtaining quality seeds.

In this year under the implementation of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” seed farms and vulnerable farms of the region received 150 tons of elite seeds of Alekseich and Timiryazevka varieties and started their sowing on time.

At present, crop growth in the fields is good and farmers are cleaning the canals around the fields, following the agricultural practices.

Today farmers of the country (project beneficiaries) encouraged by the constant support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in providing farmers with high quality crop seeds, as well as modern agricultural machinery and equipment, are trying to make efficient use of every scrap of our country’s fertile land, get a high yield, contribute to the food security of the country.
