We are focused on stimulating economic and social development of the country, with special attention paid to the agricultural sector. In this regard, we seek active cooperation with our development partners to attract more capital and implement joint initiatives.”
By attracting capital and access to modern agricultural technologies, quality certified seeds, and repairing and equipping buildings and laboratories of scientific and educational institutions with advanced equipment, decisive steps have been taken to develop the agro-industrial complex, with special emphasis on seed production. These steps are aimed at strengthening food security and improving the sustainability of agriculture. It is worth noting that the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” has made a significant contribution to support seed farms, vulnerable farmers, and agricultural research and educational institutions during its lifetime. It has contributed to the tightening of legislation in this area, which in turn has led to increased production of agricultural products, improved market supply, as well as the creation of new jobs and support for the rural population.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Project Steering Committee, Honorable Ziyozoda Sulaimon Rizoi, continued the meeting and noted: “The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon constantly emphasizes at meetings with the people the need for effective use of investment funds for the benefit of the rural population. This not only contributes to the development of agricultural infrastructure in the regions of the republic, but also creates new jobs.”
