Monitoring of field works in Tajikabad and Lakhsh districts

The development of the agrarian sector is considered one of the priority directions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, which constantly takes necessary measures to provide the population with food.
With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” within the framework of the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project has been providing seed and vulnerable farms with various seeds of elite group of crops for two years. Following agrotechnical rules, farmers (beneficiaries) were able to get the desired harvest last year due to sowing of quality seeds.

This year they also took advantage of the favorable weather and started sowing crops, particularly seed potatoes, in a timely manner.

On the second and third days of the working visit, the specialists of the institution visited agricultural lands, in particular, seed potato fields of elite varieties Evolution and Arizona, on farms “Sari Nai” and “Firdavs” of Tajikabad district, as well as on farms “Mirshodi Arzangi”, “Kand”, “Sarchashma”, “Buston” and “Gandumak” of Lakhsh district. As a result of this inspection, the specialists highly assessed the growth of crops. Currently, agro-technical works on the fields are carried out uninterruptedly and the yield of all crops is good.
