Soil fertility management

In order to support the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, specialists of the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” together with a representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) completed a business trip to the city of Bokhtar, Khatlon region, on October 6 this year.

During the visit, the delegation got familiarized with the actual state of the soil analysis laboratory and met with specialists and employees of the Experimental Soil Reclamation Station of Vakhsh under the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of TAAS.

Support for this station is provided to implement the objectives of the project to improve the management of soil fertility and precision agriculture. The implementation of the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project will contribute to the development of soil science and agrochemistry.
