Implementation of the Global Soil Doctors Programme

The State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” together with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on April 17 this year held a training seminar on the topic “Implementation of the Global Soil Doctors Programme”, within the framework of sub-component 3.2 of the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project in the hall of the HILTON Hotel in Dushanbe.

24 specialists in the field of soil science and agrochemistry of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agrarian University of Tajikistan named after Shirinsho Shotemur, the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) participated in this seminar.

The participants of this seminar mastered modern methods of soil science and soil fertility management both in the laboratory and in the field. Their goal is to improve knowledge in this field of agriculture and transfer this knowledge to farmers in order to increase yields, improve the state of land reclamation and achieve the desired results.
