The distribution of seeds and mineral fertilizers continues at a rapid pace
Starting from October 30th of the current year, specialists of the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” within the framework of Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project have been distributing quality seeds and fertilizers to seed-producing and needy farms to ensure food security.
It is worth mentioning that under this project, 500 tons of elite group wheat seeds with mineral fertilizers (456.6 tons of urea, 454,6 tons of ammonium nitrate and 341 tons of superphosphate) are provided to farmers this year for the development of seed industry.
Also, 550 tons of high quality wheat seeds of the 1st reproduction group are provided with mineral fertilizers for needy farms (200 tons of urea, 300 tons of ammonium nitrate, 500 tons of superphosphate and 250 tons of potassium chloride) to ensure food security.
During the event, environmental and social guidance staff dealing with crop seeds and mineral fertilizers presented science-based recommendations on meeting the requirements of the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Standards and adhering to safe work practices when handling chemicals.
