Planting flax seeds in the Sughd region

This year, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” under the implementation of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” among other seeds, imported 60 tons of high-quality flax seeds of the Severny variety from abroad and provided them to vulnerable farms in the country.

Today, farmers of Sughd region (beneficiaries of the project) prepared flax fields and started sowing them, having received high-quality seeds. Currently, flax planting continues in vulnerable farms of Penjikent, Istaravshan and Devashtich cities and districts, which will be completed in the coming days.

The imported seeds are high-quality, certified, high-yielding and adapted to the climatic conditions of Tajikistan.

Farmers of the country are satisfied with the continuous support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in providing access to high-quality seeds adapted to climatic conditions, and have decided to always make their significant contribution to ensuring food security of the country.
