Repair works in the Centralized Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory of the Institute of Soil Science and Agro chemistry of TAAS

The Institute of Soil Science and Agro chemistry of Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences established in 1951 on the basis of the Soil ameliorative station and until today has a successful activity.

With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” in the frame of “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project”, the exterior of the building, the conference hall and its roof, which were in need of major repairs, were completely renovated and restored and put into use this year.

In the frame of third component of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” in order to further improve the working conditions of Centralized Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory staff 10 staff offices within an area of 300.59 square meters, 4 sanitary arrangements within an area of 17.5 and corridor within an area of 68.3 square meters have been completely repaired and prepared to equip with modern equipment. .

At this time, repair works have begun in the staff offices of the Centralized Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory. Contractors and workers involved in repair work take into account all the nuances of repair and construction work and perform them qualitatively, in accordance with construction standards, and also in accordance with the requirements of the World Bank’s social and environmental standards. They will be completed within the indicated period.

After completion of repair of laboratories and other buildings of this Institute, in the frame of the project, the State Institution intends to equip the scientific institution Centralized Soil and Plant Testing Laboratory with modern laboratory equipment to make the work of specialists in this field easier and more efficient.
