This year, according to the plan, seeds of elite cotton varieties “Laser,” “Lima,” and “Ramzes”, provided by the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” as part of the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project were planted on an area of 2366 hectares. The seeds were distributed among seed production farms and institutions.

Farmers in the region were able to significantly improve cotton crop growth by strictly following agro-technical recommendations and are striving for a high yield. Specialists in the course of approbation have found that the yield of cotton fields is very high, and with stable fall weather, an excellent harvest is expected.

Currently, harvesting is carried out in Shakhritus, D/F Kudrat Rais, D/F Shahzamonbabo, D/F Kubodiyon, С/С “Avesto-5”, J. Balkhi, С/С “N.Begov”, Vakhsh, С/С “Nufuzi Vakhsh”, С/С “Aslam” and in Farhor district in commercial cooperatives “Shamshod-05”, “Dusti-60”, “Shahi Akhtamjon”. The works are being carried out at a high pace, and in some of these farms the first harvest has already been gathered.

Farmers express their gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for continuous support, including provision of quality seeds with high yields. They are determined to complete the harvest on time and without losses.
