Gradual development of seed production

On the second day of the training seminar, which was held on 14.06.2024, all participants visited the experimental sites of the Branch of the Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Vegetable Growing of Sughd region and the State subsidiary plant growing enterprise named after Gaybullo Masaidov Bobojon Gafurov district, and highly assesed the work of scientists and specialists in this field.

Then, scientists and industry experts showed the seminar participants the nuances of cultivation of field plantings at the planting sites to demonstrate the application of scientific approach in practice, as well as visited intensive gardens of apricots, peaches and 26 new collection species of apple trees. Intensive gardens of apricot, peach and apple trees were planted in 2015-2018 on an area of 11 hectares on the experimental territory of the Branch of the Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture.

More than 330,000 different species of fruit and decorative plants such as apricots, plums, cherries, apples, pears, peaches, grapes, junipers, etc. are grown in the state fruit nursery named after Gaibullo Masaidov, Bobojon Gafurov.

As a result of the seminar, a competition for the title “Best Gardener” was announced among the conference participants in three categories. The winners were awarded souvenirs from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
