1. The Republic of Tajikistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project (SRASP), additional financing and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Procurement of 250 sets of two-wheel tractors (motobloks) with additional equipment and 10 units of crawler rice combine harvesters for vulnerable farmers in all the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
2. The State Institute “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” Project Management Unit (AED PMU) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for lots as follow: Lot #1: “Procurement of 250 sets of two-wheel tractors (motobloks) with additional equipment for vulnerable farmers in all the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan” and Lot #2: “Procurement of 10 units of crawler rice combine harvesters for vulnerable farmers in all the regions of the Republic of Tajikistan”.
3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” September 2023 Edition (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from AED PMU and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 08:00 to 17:00 at the address given below.
5. The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before June 21, 2024 11:00 a.m. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on June 21, 2024, 11:10 a.m.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of: USD 18 800 (eighteen thousand and eight hundred) for Lot #1 and USD 6 200 (six thousand and two hundred) for Lot #2 or USD 25 000 (twenty-five thousand) for all Lots.
8. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
