On January 18th, in Dushanbe, a grant agreement for additional financing of the “Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project” was signed between the Republic of Tajikistan and the International Development Association. The main objective of the project is to strengthen the foundation of a sustainable agricultural sector and support emergency measures to address food security issues in Tajikistan.

The total cost of the project amounts to 39 million Special Drawing Rights, equivalent to 50 million US dollars.

The grant agreements were signed by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Fayziddin Kakhhorzoda, and the Resident Representative of the World Bank in Tajikistan, Ozan Sevimli.
